Hello there! Thanks for visiting my blog. Let me explain a little bit about our house. I will start by saying that I am a horrible, I repeat, HORRIBLE "before" photographer. I constantly forget that I didn't take a "before" picture until about halfway through a project, when it's too late. As we all know, this is not condusive to good blogging, so I will promise to try to do my best from this point on! I have little to no pictures of the house from when we first moved in, so when I say that a room has changed dramatically, you are just going to have to believe me :)
Husband and I bought our first home in August, 2009, right before we got married. We had walked through countless houses, driven by dozens more, and even put seven offers in on different houses. SEVEN. Our poor realtor. We were just trying to be
annoying well-researched home buyers, and we had strict regulations. We knew that we wanted to buy a forclosure that we could fix up. We had a strict budget that we insisted on sticking to. We walked through some of the dirtiest, moldiest houses that you can think of; some so bad that we decided that even we didn't want to attempt to do-it-ourselves. Finally, we found a house and closed on it right before the wedding...we were a little worried we would have no where to live when we came back from the honeymoon.
We have been in the house for a little over a year now, and are slowly but surely winning the race by fixing up one room at a time. I am such an indecisive decorator that the decor in the house is constantly being swapped out with something new, and we go to so many yard sales, goodwills, and auctions that we simply have no choice (well, that's my excuse anyway). So please, join me in my quest to to redecorate and renovate our home on a shoestring budget!
Pin It Now!
Ha Ha...I am a horrible "before" photographer also! I am getting better, but I often get so excited about an idea or that I have the time to get something done that I forget. I love all your little home decorating projects...all are very cute!
