The one with the perfect piece of furniture.

If you follow me on Instagram (scsmith1), then you saw a little sneak peek at this beauty in my backseat:

As I was scrolling through Craigslist the other night, as I often do when I should be sleeping, I came across this beautiful bench. Pink. Velvet, Tufted. Bamboo. It couldn't be screaming my name any more than if it had "SHANNOOOOON!" airbrushed on it's fabric, graffiti-style.

But since I'm a bottom-line kinda gal, I thought that it would cost to much for me to justify buying, especially since I wasn't sure where it would go (my goal for 2013 is to only buy things with purpose).

Since I'm showing you pictures of it in my living room, you can probably guess that it was worth it. The price? Twenty dollars. TWENTY. I e-mailed the nice lady saying that I would be there first thing the next day to pick it up.

I expected it to be a little worn, and definitely in need of some TLC. Nope. The upholstery looks brand new!

I'm debating on painting the arms and legs. I'm thinking a charcoal gray or a gilded gold...

One thing's for sure: I need to find a place for it and move it away from the window before my cats claim it as their own.

They know what's up.

PS- You can still vote for me in Apartment Therapy's Homie Awards! I'm nominated in two categories: Best Home Design & Inspiration Blog, and Best Home Project & DIY Blog. Click on the links to get to the specific categories. I sure would appreciate it! :)

    1. Thanks! I was too. I half expected them to say that they meant $200, not $20 when I went to pick it up. I couldn't believe it!

  6. Hey! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard against hackers?

    Any recommendations?

I love your comments like I love a glass of red wine, a slow Van Morrison song, and freshly swiffered floors...which is, like, a lot.
