My name is Shannon, and this is my creative outlet.
When I started this blog, the name Burlap and Lace was a direct reflection of my then-style. As I have evolved and grown as person, my tastes and aesthetics have changed over time. I like to think of this as a natural evolution that we all experience over the years. And I am sure (and hope) that I will see things differently in a few years from now, and even a few years from then.
A new career has sprung from my passion in design. I now like to think of the name Burlap and Lace as a representation of two completely different aesthetics; a strikingly opposite combination of the raw and the refined. A beautiful contradiction. A metaphor for me.
